There are a few things that you require a team to do - not in the sense of 'you can try to do it yourself but ha ha good luck pulling it off' but in the sense of 'the game will not let you do this activity without a team of size X.
I am really looking forward to playing this game and seeing what the twins's father looks like after customizing them both even if he does die in the first hour of play. You do, however, need to be online and logged in to the servers to do so. I can't seem myself going through the tedious work of manually adjusting the game's Window Resolution every time I want to play it when I can just play other games that don't force me to. I will likely hold off playing the game until a Window Resolution option is made available. However, those other games have at least retained the Window Resolution when it was manually adjusted.Īt this point, I am at a loss. I am not surprised this functionality isn't available here because I have encountered this same issue with a few other "AAA" games. There are several other games I own that provide similar functionality while in Windowed Mode and don't limit it to only Fullscreen. The lack of change to my issue has brought me here. I tried manually adjusting the Window Resolution and relaunching the game after updating Mass Effect: Andromeda.I have left Feedback and a Bug Report for the Mass Effect: Andromeda team in hopes they will add a Window Resolution option in the future.
In fact, the in-game Video Output option they are tied to is labeled "Full Screen Resolution". They have zero effect on Window Resolution. However, those particular lines only function to adjust the Game Resolution while Mass Effect: Andromeda is in Fullscreen Mode. As suggested by other posts with similar-ish issues, I have looked into modifying the "GstRender.ResolutionHeight" and "GstRender.ResolutionWidth" lines in the game's "Pro Opts_profile" text file.I have played with the options in the game's various Video Output and Graphics settings, but to no avail. This is far too small for the resolution of my monitor, and not ideal for playing any game. Instead, the game will launch with a Window Resolution of 1280x720. Furthermore, even if I manually stretch the game's window to a resolution I like and can play in (2560x1440, for example), that Window Resolution will not be retained the next time I launch the game. The issue I am running into is that Mass Effect: Andromeda fails to possess an option to adjust the Window Resolution while in Windowed Mode. Mass Effect: Andromeda is no exception, and I have yet to make it passed the menu screen. This is due to the fact that games tend to drop frames when set to fullscreen on my 4K monitor (3840x2160). One important setting that must be set for any game I play is Windowed Mode.
I received my copy of ME:A last week, and have spent the last few days adjusting the settings so I could be ready to play the game once the Thursday update went out.
